1888 - Clemens Veltins bets on advances in technology: The application of a steam engine is a huge sensation for Grevenstein's inhabitants! |

1893 - The twins Carl and Anton Veltins take over the management of the brewery from their father. They create the new company name, Brauerei C. & A. Veltins, which still exists today. |

1896 - After the installation of a refrigeration unit, an electrical light and power unit is also installed in the brewery - an absolute novelty in the country! |

1919 - Another innovation inspires the Sauerland: The Veltins Brewery provides a motorized truck for the delivery of its beer. |

1926 - Under Carl Veltins Jr. the decision is made to produce exclusively pilsner beer from this date forward. |

1953 - The production output continues to increase; in this year 12,000 hectoliters of Refreshing Veltins is produced. |

1964 - Crown corks replace the swing stoppers of the bottled beer. In the same year Rosemarie Veltins takes over the management of the brewery. |

1966 - For the first time in Europe a brewery's own purification plant is installed. The Veltins Brewery is committed to a responsible consorting with nature and continuously invests in protection of the environment. |

1974 - The brewery VELTINS celebrates its 150th anniversary. |

1984 - The former guesthouse brewery joins the elite circle of hectoliter millionaires: for the first time an annual output of 1.013 million hectoliters of Refreshing Veltins is produced. |

1994 - Susanne Veltins, the great great granddaughter of Clemens Veltins takes the lead of the traditional enterprise. The brewery is increasingly engaged in regional as well as international sports sponsoring and thus raises its degree of popularity far beyond the bounds of Northrhine-Westphalia. |

1999 - The 175th birthday of the Veltins Brewery. The pilsner beer from the Sauerland has worked its way up to be the number four brand of beer in Germany. |

2000 -Full steam ahead into the new millennium. A thoroughly healthy enterprise, for 148 years in possession of the Veltins family, looks confidently to the future. Permanent innovations and outstanding quality accompany Refreshing Veltins on its way into the third millennium. |
